Tuckshop

Our tuckshop is open every day and has a variety of healthy choices. The school tuckshop is operated by the P&C Association. Debbie Lind, our full-time convener operates and manages this facility.

Smart choices

Our menu has been designed to meet the requirement Smart choices - Healthy Food and Drink Supply Strategy for Queensland Schools. We prepare a range of healthy meals on-site using fresh ingredients.

Operating hours

The Tuckshop is open from Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.15 am and 1.45 pm. Please note that the tuckshop is closed on the last Friday of every term and any Student Free Day.

First break: 11.00 am to 11.35 am

Second break: 1.30 pm lunch order handouts only (There are no counter sales for this break)

Volunteers

The tuckshop operates with the assistance and support of volunteers and we gratefully appreciate this help.  An hour, or morning or your time would greatly assist to keep this valuable service running. Our students love seeing their parents, grandparents or other family members behind the counter.

Ordering system

Deliver orders to the tuckshop by 9.00 am. Anyone needing to complete orders at the tuckshop will be charged 20 cents per bag.  Please provide the correct amount of money with your order.  We do now take EFTPOS as well.

Place paper bag lunch orders inside tuckshop basket provided in each classroom first thing each morning or over the counter at the tuckshop by 9.00 am.

Provide a paper bag for each lunch order with name/class/first break or second break lunch printed clearly on the outside of the bag (don’t write in pencil). Please do not send in plastic bags.

First break is ‘big lunch’ and second break is ‘little lunch'.

Two bags are required, if ordering for first and second break.

Don't use sticky tape or staples, as this is a health issue.

Children's lunch time is supervised and when the second bell has rung children are permitted to buy over counter items from the tuckshop.

Ice creams or juice/milk cold cups may be ordered on tuckshop bags but will not be sent to class. Children must bring their bags to tuckshop to collect ice creams/cold cups once the second bell has rung.

Menu items may be unavailable from time to time due to factors outside the tuckshop’s control.

Prices may be subject to change after the menu is released and will notified in the school newsletter.
