Mundingburra State School opened on 22nd September, 1884 and 125 years of service of education and the community began. The school established a tradition of diligence and industry lightened by recreation and music. Discipline was tempered by kindliness and concern. Generations of teachers assisted their pupils to acquire the foundations of broad knowledge and an enquiring mind. Students were exposed to experiences which strengthened character and developed sound values. Some pupils would become successful and well known;others would give their lives in times of war, all would go into adult life enriched by their time at Mundingburra State School. Nothing much has changed in 2009. We continue to "respect our history whilst building the future". In 2009, our celebrations are highlighted with three main activities: Sunday 13 September 2009 School Fun Fair Wednesday 16 September 2009 Afternoon Tea and Tour Friday 18 September 2009 Cocktail Party Southbank Convention Centre 7:30 pm To find out more about each of these events please clink on the link.
